1:  Best Practices of Chiropractic Care Class

Evidence-Based Outcomes

If the chiropractic profession had a best practice guideline to standardize our delivery of care producing optimal patient outcomes, how would that alleviate your clinical uncertainties?

This best practice class will give you the best practice standards to reduce pain, improve function and enhance mental health.  All three of these outcomes will be explored through current research, relevant science, and practical clinical application.

Standards of care unite the doctor’s objectives in delivering care and the patient’s expectations of care outcomes.

You will walk away from this class with:

  1. What the established, researched best practices of chiropractic care are.
  2. Research validating how chiropractic care is successful at reducing pain, improving function, and enhancing mental health.
  3. Addressing patient expectations of care with certainty.
  • 0-15 minutes- Exploring studies of patient outcomes in utilization of chiropractic care.  Targeting our specific, measurable objectives in delivering chiropractic care.
  • 16-30 minutes- Standards of chiropractic care for varying populations and conditions with realistic expectations of the care delivered.
  • 31-50 minutes- Parameters to adhere to in our best practices and how to apply exceptions to the standards because of comorbidities and complicating factors.

2:  Stress Signs, Symptoms & Solutions Class

Differential/Physical Diagnosis

Stress is omnipresent.  This class digs into Han Selye’s General Adaptive Syndrome (G.A.S) and how as chiropractors we recognize signs of stress and teach people to live reducing the negative effects of stress.

Detecting the cumulative effects of stress in and on the body through consultation, examination, and thorough documentation builds the rational for care beyond symptom relief.

Stress is unavoidable; our response to stress is a field of study filled with science and research supporting chiropractic care.

You will walk away from this class with:

  1. General Adaptive Syndrome (G.A.S.) from Hans Selye
  2. Prevalence data on stress affecting us all.
  3. Current research on how chiropractic care reduces negative effects of stress.
  • 0-15 minutes- Prevalence of stress stored in our bodies and revealed in our population-based communities.
  • 16-30 minutes- Effects of stress on our body’s organ systems.  Detecting warning signs of stress early to reduce compounding negative consequences.
  • 31-60 minutes- Stress solutions explored to address the symptoms and causes of stress.

3:  Comparing Comorbidities Class

Forensics/Causality

What we don’t ask we won’t know.  What we don’t know will not fuel the ownership of the problem and the realistic expectations of the care.  This class will raise our awareness of the extent of comorbidities that exist and the vital importance of communicating those comorbidities.

You will walk away from this class with:

  1. Patient history storytelling explored to uncover comorbidities which complicate patient’s progress.
  2. Comorbidities impacting realistic expectations of care.
  3. Relevant case studies reviewing the trajectories of outcomes of care provided with varying amounts of comorbidities.
  • 0-15 minutes- Exploring the significance of comorbidities in patient’s history.  How comorbidities impact the expected outcomes of care.
  • 16-30 minutes- Comorbidities defined, communicated and how they impact realistic expectations from care.
  • 31-50 minutes- Comorbidities and responsibilities understood.  Unique case stories comparing comorbidities and the trajectories of outcomes of the care provided.

4:  Bone Health Class

Anatomy

What influence we can have on bone health depends on our knowledge of bones as living, dynamic structures?  There are definite consequences of the impact of gravity on our bones that we must realize and modify if we don’t like the effects on our bones.  This class will review the osteo anatomy and will grow our knowledge to better communicate how to optimize bone health.

You will walk away from this class with:

  1. Understanding that bone is a living organism; how bones are nourished and degenerated.
  2. Explore the connection between compromised nerve flow and bone health.
  3. Stress on bones is inevitable whether it is a positive stress to grow the bones or negative stress triggering degeneration.
  • 0-20 minutes- Structure of our skeletal system explored and the importance of strength to our longevity.
  • 21-30 minutes- Forces affecting bone health and ultimate function of bones. How we positively or negatively affect bone health by our day-to-day activities.
  • 31-50 minutes- Decisions we make to optimize bone health and the consequences that result from those decisions.

5:  Mobility Mechanics Class

Biomechanics

The physiology and function of normal and abnormal movement.

This mobility mechanics class is a hands-on workshop style class designed to be a practical application of tests that raise awareness of and participating in ongoing chiropractic care that improves mobility.

Research is replete revealing the prevalence of falls.  The significance of the chiropractic care you provide in reducing mortality should compel you to take this workshop.

You will walk away from this class with:

  1. Essential movement component parts which are: strength, flexibility, and endurance
  2. Test to measure movements to utilize in your exams with patients.
  3. Mortality statistics that we as chiropractors can and should be reducing because of growing patients’ mobility.
  • 0-15 minutes- Mobility and movement defined and the relevance of the subject in chiropractic evaluations.
  • 16-30 minutes- Diagnostic tools to measure mobility and movement.
  • 31-50 minutes- Delivering to patients their outcome of mobility measurements and expectations for changes in mobility and movement.

6:  Safety and Risks of Chiropractic Care Class

Risk Management

We know chiropractic is safe- but do they know that?  This class will focus on what the risks are and how are we positioning and communicating the benefits of chiropractic care for lifetime care. Positioning the care options for people to weigh the best option that suits their objectives is essential and will be a big part of this class.

You will walk away from this class with:

  1. Comparison of care options for pain reduction, mobility, and strength for optimal patient outcomes.
  2. Knowledge of what the risks of chiropractic versus medical options are.
  3. Confidence about the efficacy of chiropractic care.
  • 0-15 minutes- Safety defined.  Comparison of Care options- medical and chiropractic.  Research on the risks from chiropractic versus the risks from medical options.
  • 16-30 minutes- Optimizing safety of chiropractic care by utilizing diagnostic tools that rule in and rule out best candidates for chiropractic care.  Who is not the best fit for chiropractic care?
  • 31-50 minutes- Communicating efficacy of chiropractic care.

  1. Data on how the body is designed for longevity.
  2. Survival plan of cells and the specific detriments and enhancers to adaptation.
  3. The answers to combat neuromuscular aging.
  • 0-15 minutes- The body design for longevity.  Comparison of organ structures and their blueprint for replication.
  • 16-30 minutes- Adaptation, the survival plan of cells.  Detriments and enhancers to adaptations.
  • 31-50 minutes- Movement is the answer to combat neuromuscular aging.  The fall risks and danger to longevity. Muscle mass/size loss due to aging.
